Hi Denise – Unfortunately they are about seven years old and badly faded 😦 And I don’t really make them (I’m in NZ too – where are you?)

Do you have more info on how to make these chair covers or a tutorial. Would love to make them for my chairs.

Hi Teresa. Unfortunately I don’t. I can tell you however, that I basically put the cotton towel right side down on the chair and evened up where the fringe was sitting at the front and back. Then I trimmed the sides. I cut out the shape of the side of the chair. I did cut the fabric where the chair meets the back and then sewed it after. The best thing to do then, for the first one, is while the fabric is on the chair you tack the pieces together with big hand stitches. That way you can make it fit perfectly. Then you pull the tacked chair cover off and go over it with the sewing machine. Turn it inside out and pop it on! Then do the remaining seven!!

Hi there Veronica. Nice to hear from you. So mmmm good question. I guess they were probably about 1.5m long. They were the standard (new) cotton type towels you can find these days for summer. Found this link might be helpful https://www.bedbathandbeyond.co.nz/Product/BE0195?gclid=Cj0KCQjwx7zzBRCcARIsABPRscNaw7bixPLhnoP-v85N7KkB4kBophTuoFEhlv543wTlefe5eo8HU4UaAuR3EALw_wcB
Have fun!

Hi Dana …. I actually think I managed to get two chairs (cut down length ways) per towel. And then I bought another one (or two – cant remember) for the fabric for the sides.
It would depend a little on how long the towels were. Mine were long enough to go from the fringe at the front to the fringe at the back.
Take care. JoLikeLike

Hi,
These are stunning! By chance do you still have them, I would love to make some for my chairs and don’t think I’m clever enough to try without seeing a template. (I live in Auckland).LikeLike
