My dad got me a whole stack of dry-cleaned white sheets ex hotels.  So I put my creative thinking cap on and decided to rip up strips to make into whatever I decided once knitted.  And so, where we have a fresh white cushion cover.

Now dad has made me these massive knitting needles (at my request) so I’m thinking about a hoopy blanket!  Watch this space!

So much fabric, so little time! I really enjoyed making this.  So many colours and patterns…

As you’ve probably guessed by now, if you know me at all, I love little houses!  I also love to cross-stitch at night when I’m watching Netflix.  I feel like sitting watching Netflix isn’t a waste of time if I’m doing something!    So I cross-stitched this little house without a clue what it would end up like. I had it sitting with some other fabric and the stripes and floral just jumped out at me and I’m pleased to say I love the finished item.

I bought the floral fabric from AlieExpress. (I’ve been buying quite a bit of stuff from them lately.

After spending some time in the garden this morning it’s always nice to come inside and watch gardening programmes on Netflix while doing some sewing.  With Christmas coming up I’m trying to make as many Christmas presents as possible so it is enjoyable without the stress of time pressure.  I had one lovely piece of beaded fabric just enough for two purses and matched it with a soft fine weave sacking type fabric.

Hi! 🐝

Winter continues and the warmth of the sewing room beckons.  So I just got home from church and made this sweet love picture.  Simple and clean.

Have a nice day and I hope you are inspired to create 💕

Its my sister-in-law’s birthday on Wednesday (so I won’t post this before)!  She is a great preacher.. yes! Her husband is my brother and the minister of the church I attend.  She loves Scripture around the house … I heard her say it from the pulpit one time, so of course the perfect present!

Mmmm, I seem to have run out of tissue paper.  Guess I will make a little bag and ‘card’…

Just had to make a few more of these little zip purses… sooooo easy and fun to make!

To match the one I had already done with the little tissue packs..

God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise—He can be depended on], and God wants you to know His son, Jesus Christ”

1 Corinthians 1:19 (That’s one of the books of the Bible towards the end, and it is chapter 1 and verse 19… just so you can find it).

I thought this would make a nice gift for a girlfriend who knows and loves God.

Its been years since I made these little tissue packs. I saw a reasonable size packet of tissues in a shop and thought they would be fun to make, quick and easy.  I searched on You Tube and found heaps of little demonstrations, and downloaded a pattern (yes a pattern!) because I had never made them lined before.  And in effect lining them made them so much easier to make and tidy.  It was also fun mixing two fabrics together, and using the flowers from one of my husbands old (clean) shirts (that had shrunk in the wash!).

I found quite a few stunning doilies at an opshop in Te Puke recently and so purchased them thinking I must be able to use them for something.  I looked on Pinterest and sure enough, there are heaps of ideas for traditional doilies.
