I just made my sister this little picture to make up for the dumb present I gave her at Christmas!

My lovely friend, Rachel, bought me three frames at Christmas (to match the colour of my floors … and they do perfectly).  So today I finished three separate freemotion sewing pictures for them.  And I love them.

The Frames…

Now I just have to get some nails and hang them up above this little table I’ve taken the photographs on.

Ps. See how well the frames match the floor…

So yesterday, Thur 26 Jan 2017, mum gave me some old lace handkerchiefs for my free motion sewing.  I asked if she would like something made from them and she said that would be lovely and could I do a lady.  So I chose the prettiest three lace ones and made this, this morning.

I was tempted to read my book (it’s so cold here for summer) … but after looking through Pinterest I was inspired to do some more freemotion sewing.  About two hours later….

Lovely Sunday afternoon.  Well, raining and wild outside, but a perfect day for an hour’s sewing after 5pm…

After rennovating our house and not using my sewing machine for anything other than making curtains for the past eight months … no make that ten months! … it is so lovely to sew something just for fun…

Below I’ve inserted a couple of photos of the start up.  Also, I wanted to pay tribute to an amazing free motion sewing artist who inspires me, Michelle Holmes.  Her photo below is copyright, however I have inserted it to give her credit on her inspiration to me.

JANUARY 2017

Let’s not waste time people! Bought these chairs on NZ’s Trademe website a week before Christmas. My very onto it husband painted them white (of course) and I made some cushion covers out of a second hand duvet. I will eventually get some decent weighted fabric but in the meantime couldn’t have them upstairs in red and white now could we!! But, main thing, they are SO comfortable…

And this is the final panel of the wall hanging … Unless I get addicted to making more and then have them framed individually … Mmmmmmm so many options!
