Inspired by my new printables (now available on Etsy hee hee) I made these two cards out of the packaging some stickers came in 🤎 .

Here is the link to my Etsy Shop 😉

Below is a picture of the ‘original’ packaging …

My REAL hobby is “getting organised for doing my hobby”! Haha!
Basically I like getting all the little bits and pieces organised and neat and tidy READY for that ONE DAY when I make something!

I ordered a whole lot of pretty stickers from AliExpress … and then had to have something to put them in so I grabbed an address book I had purchased from a second hand shop, ripped out the pages and then used the index tabs to stick on some vellum. Covered the back and front with one of my printables I had made from Public Domain pictures (from Rawpixel.com).

I’ve done a Beach Life fabric art before and totally enjoyed it and felt it was time to do another. A warm but wet day in Maketu, NZ, created the perfect mood …. Oh and a day off!

The evolution…

Highlights…

I found a beautiful frame at a second hand shop on Saturday which inspired me to make this design. Made from up-cycled linen and embroidery pieced together.

I felt the Scripture “He heals, the wounds of the broken-hearted” captured the mood of the colours … soothing, calming and gentle to the soul.

I always like to do something while watching tv in the evenings.

I recently found three balls of white wool so I started knitting the middle of a blanket. Given I don’t know how to follow a pattern I just did ‘knit’.

Then I ran out of the white so I decided to crochet some black around the edge. I didn’t love it until I purchased some grey for the final stage.

Super snugly and warm and quite pretty with the crochet frill.

So we now have the cutest grandson just living up the road ~ within walking distance. It’s so great. He is SO cute 🥰

I made him a little cushion…

(I also gave him a little book on birds which his dad, who is a super fisherman and loves nature and knows his birds, will love reading to him!)

It is a combination of free motion sewing and using my CRICUT to print and iron on the wording. I’m so pleased with the result.

I haven’t posted for ages. I’ve still been making things but you know what it’s like….time consuming! Ha!

Anyway, I made this the other day and sold it on Facebook Marketplace the day I finished making it for NZ$25. I was delighted that it went to a friend of my mum’s who was moving into a tiny house and thought it was just what she needed 💜

Day 3 of my Summer Holiday, with Christmas being day one. Today I felt like making something, so made this pretty little padded purse. Perfect for coins or things you might need in your handbag.

I make these from time to time because they are so easy and fun to create … and they are super handy.

I love pulling out one of my many scrap bags and laying out the scraps to see what kind of affect I can achieve.

Simply lay out the scraps on a piece of fabric with padding and then sew up and down! Super easy and fun! Then make into a cute lined purse.

Laying out the scraps!

It doesn’t take long to add a bit of loviliness to towels in the bathroom. I don’t usually ‘bling’ the drying towels but just the ones people dry their hands on.

Also makes a great Christmas gift!

Bye for now!

I have been enjoying collaging little boxes (usually from the pantry) but now I had created a situation where they were starting to annoy me. Then this morning I thought, yes, I will collage an old box and put the little boxes in the box. And here is the result.

Starting with a picture of ‘the situation’…

Finding an old box…

The initial A4 and A3 paper I stuck on is one of my own designs using domain free images found on the internet.

Then I used some beautiful Michel Design Works serviettes to pull it all together

And here is the finished result…

And then I saw a bottle in my bathroom and thought, I wonder…

It’s still a bit wet so we will see what it looks like when it dries.

Quite a good start to the day I’d say!

Now what shall I do.

Take care ~ Jo x
